This is PoeticSoul, one of RECYCLE ME´s amazing friends.
We had the chance to interview her about her engagement in the RECYCLE ME
movement. Read about her, what inspires and motivates her!
“I feel that RECYCLE ME is one of
the organizations that have set themselves up to do the job, and make
people aware of the importance of maybe considering organ
donation in spite the different cultures and religions that are out there that
may have different opinions on it. It's nice that they still stand and be like
"Yeah, we are going to promote awareness on organ donation"”

Thank you PoeticSoul for your
engagement in Organ Donation Awareness and your kind words! Full interview

Who are you and where do you live, would you
like to say something about your background and family, friends?
-I am PoeticSoul, I am from the
Nelson Mandela Bay in South Africa. I am the second of three children, I have a
mom and a dad. I am a performance poet and I love writing and influencing
people's thoughts with my words, very careful in using my words carefully
hoping that will bring some sort of change in the world.
What inspires you as a person and in your music?
-Life in general all the different circumstances that people survive everyday. The idea that there is a bigger plan and the beauty of life, I guess is what inspires me as a poet and what inspires my music as well. Also the idea that you can take a very painful experience and put it together with music and people can find joy in listening to it, but at the same time getting the message behind all of that.
How would you describe your music?

How would you describe your music?
-I don't know if there is a
description to it. I just know that it´s sounds that move me, sounds that I am
always trusting that they will have a positive influence when they find the
ears of another person and within the body of that person. It's music you know,
it´s funky, it´s vibey, its exciting, it´s jazzy and it´s African. It's all
parts and pieces of who I am. So I don't have a description in terms of " it´s
this kind of genre". I think for me, I always just describe it as the
perfect marriage between two art forms. The perfect marriage between poetry and
music, where poetry doesn't diminish in the presence of music and music doesn't
diminish in the presence of poetry, so they are the perfect couple that support
each other.
What motivates you as a person and as a
musician?
-What motivates me as a person, uuhm well ... I read a lot and I am a believer so I guess I get my motivation from alot of spiritual teachers and also from my faith as well so that's where most of my motivation comes from. I am also a big self motivator, in the space where people think I can't I tell myself that I can, and that's my motivation, everyday to just know that I am able to do whatever I want to do just as long as I ask for the ability to do it from the most high.
Why do you chose to stand/take part in the RECYCLE
ME movement about organ donation?
- I think because mine is to spread the word through my poetry. I find that any movement that seeks to preserve life is a worthy cause to be part of and I have the faith that my words over the RECYCLE ME movement will assist in spreading the word across the world about organ donation, because sometimes you stand afar and think that an issue like organ donation doesn't affect you. But that is only until it actually does come to you, so as much as right now am not in need of an organ I would like to think that me spreading the word in the mean-time will assist those that do need organs and maybe one day I might be in a position where I need an organ donation or I am on an opportunity to be an organ donor and therefore preserve life.

Is there something you like to change like anything in the cause of organ donation or other movement, topics, anything sky’s no limit!
-I think in terms of organ donation
the ideal is to have a situation where in organs can travel faster across the
spaces where they are needed, create a situation where every person is an organ
donor and therefore there wouldn't be such a great and dire need and a
desperate need for organs because they would be readily available. And I guess
maybe changing the supply for organs would be really nice, but otherwise
in as far as the awareness is taking place, I feel that RECYCLE ME is one of the
organizations that have set themselves up to do the job, and make people
